Welcome to Zita

Welcome to the Art House cinema Zita, the eldest running cinema in Stockholm and one of the most important venues in Stockholm. 

Zita houses a wide range of films from all over the world, for all ages such as documentaries, children's movies, short films and feature films that normally wouldn’t be screened in Stockholm. Zita also have a range of film festivals and special screenings, often in collaboration with other cultural partners.
All regular film screenings are in their original language and subtitled in Swedish. Some films that take part of a film festival or other special events can be subtitled in English. 

Zita is located in the heart of Stockholm close to Stureplan. The cinema have three screening rooms with 140, 40, 30 seats respectively, open every day. Our box office opens a half an hour before the first screening of the day and closes 15 minutes after the last one screening.

Inside the cinema you will find Bongo Bar that serves food and beverages every day before- and after the screenings. Zita Folkets Bio is a part of the distribution company Folkets Bio who distribute films and has cinema's in other locations in Sweden.
