The village of Piargy will live a sinful life until it completely disappears one carnival night. It is as if the devils have taken it away with the people, the houses and the animals. Will the prophecies of the old fortune teller Uli (Jana Oľhová) about the coming of the antichrist and the cruel punishment come true?

The plot of the film, based on the novel by František Švantner, takes us to the village of PIARGA. Here, the young, beautiful and poor Juliša (Judit Bárdos) pays a cruel tax for her desire for a better life. When she marries Martin (Daniel Fischer), the son of the richest landowner, she finds herself in a family where hard rules rule. Not only will she face unpleasant pressure from her mother-in-law, but she cannot resist the violent seductions of her father-in-law (Attila Mokoš). Despite this, Juliša falls in love with her husband's father and a love triangle develops. The forbidden secret, however, will not remain hidden for long and everyone will want to benefit from it. Julisha's sister (Lucia Siposova), the people in the village and even the village priest (Peter Nádasdi).
