During July, Zita Folkets Bio show some of the recent most popular Swedish films with English subtitles for our international audience and for you visiting Stockholm. If you haven't had the possibility to see some of Sweden’s most acclaimed films, want to know more about Swedish cinema or just wish to escape the summer heat for a few hours in our screeing room this a great opportunity to visit us.

For you who want to get to know more about the hype behind Sweden's latest Cannes Palme d'Or winner Ruben Östlund. Force Majeure was Ruben Östlund's fourth international success telling the story of a family vacationing in the French Alps is confronted with a devastating avalanche.

For you who want to get an insight in Swedish politics and learn more about the famous prime minister Olof Palme and the Swedish "folkhemmet".

Same Blood
The Swedish festival favorite and film debut by Amanda Kernell tells us the story of fourteen year old Elle Marja, a reindeer-breeding Sami girl. Exposed to the racism of the 1930s and phrenological examinations at her boarding school, she starts dreaming of another life.
The screenings of the films occur during week days monday to thursday through out July.
